- Nugget issue # 1 -

Three words... POP CULTURE FAIR! This year I attended it (as a vendor) and it was fantastic, the new venue made all the difference. And it is the also the reason for the Monday morning update (rather than Sunday).

I'll tell more about the fair, the weekend and the comic after class and work tonight, yes I have to cover yet another shift at work *sigh*.

Ok so the update came a little later then I expected. Anywho it’s time for me to do some splain’n. As you dear readers have undoubtedly noticed the comic is... colourless and simplistically drawn (compared to the last few issues) well there’s a bloody good reason for this so keep yer scales on!
Last month I started full time classes again and with that came submitting to the NAIT Nugget and holding the fort at Collector's Edge. So now I have precious little time to do the full blown colour comics the answer, cut corners and use these as practice, plus the nugget prints in B&W anyway. So I figure "hey at least I'll have money in my pockets and it gives me practice".
With that welcome to the first of many HDR Nugget Issues! What better way to start it off then with yet another welcome back / intro comic. This has to be the 3rd one I’ve done...

Now on to the Pop Culture Fair! As I mentioned I attended it as both a vendor (free admission ^^) and a consumer. Not much to say other then the change of venue made it more enjoyable than previous years. Even thou it was enjoyable the amount of "quality" products for sale was the same as usual, some nice stuff and a lot of crap. Surprisingly I didn’t pick up as much this year, most of it didn’t interest me, still a few rare comics and old NES set and a figure or 2. If you’re Interesting in full details (and maybe a few photos) I'll be posting it to my LJ later this week.
